Mobile Parking for non-Dubai Vehicles

Dubai: A huge relief to the people owning vehicles registered outside of the UAE as they can now use the Roads and Transports Authority’s (RTA) mobile parking payment system without having to first register for the service.

Previously, all the non-Dubai registered vehicles had to register for the service in advance before using the RTA’s SMS parking payment system. Now, they don’t have to do so. These services are mainly aimed at simplifying the payment of parking fees via SMS. Also, the customers would be notified that they don’t have to pay the parking fees on the holidays. Maitha Bin Adai, CEO of Traffic and Roads Agency, RTA explained that a lot of people pay without realizing parking is free on Fridays and holidays. This up-gradation is for their help. 

How to pay for parking in Dubai?

It can be simply done using a phone. All you need to do is send a text to 7275 (PARK) with the details of the location, car and number of hours the car would be parked. 

The message code is as follows: The letter code and the corresponding (one to five) digits on your plate <space> the area code (consists of three numbers and one letter) <space> number of hours your car will be parked (a number between 1-4 hours)

Send this text to 7275 (PARK). You’ll also receive an automated text message to your phone before the time expires.
